Altcoins.bg and Mica. What is our compliance plan?
Hello, friends!
As the end of the year approaches, most people are switching to holiday mode. We, however, are increasing our efforts, because two very important processes are ahead:
- transition to the euro
- application for a MiCA license.
While the transition to the euro is mostly a technical process involving system adjustments, the license is the most important thing we have done in the entire history of Altcoins.bg.
If you are not fully familiar with the topic…
Here is what the law represents and how we are positioning ourselves:
In 06.2025, the Bulgarian Crypto-Assets Act was adopted, according to which every crypto platform operator in Bulgaria can continue operating under the existing registration until 06.2026. After that, the business must hold a license issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) in order to continue operating.
As you can imagine, this is not just a paperwork change, but an extremely large amount of work.
Our plan for compliance with the new law is very specific and follows a clear roadmap.
At the same time, we did not allow this to distract us or reduce our focus on the most important thing, namely high-quality service.
In addition to the many events over the past year and the new services, we have also prepared exciting developments for after the license, including projects that until now were unthinkable in Bulgaria.
Our policy has always been to be as transparent as possible with the people who have trusted us as the most recognizable crypto brand in Bulgaria.
Where are we now?
At this stage, everything is going according to plan and our license documentation is 99 percent ready, as are the systems themselves.
Months ago, we increased the capital of the company to meet and exceed the licensing requirements.
Yesterday we completed the next part of the plan, namely changes to the company name, ownership structure, correspondence address and all other elements required to fully meet regulatory requirements and ensure clear recognizability.
Altcoins.bg is now operated by Altcoins BG Ltd., with the sole shareholder and managing director being Rostislav Totev.
We are currently in the process of updating this information with all of our banking partners. Very soon, for bank transfers, you will see Altcoins BG Ltd. listed as the beneficiary company. This is part of the overall process of bringing our operations into full compliance with the new regulatory requirements.
The times when we had to hide our business and operate under company names unrelated to crypto are now over. It was a long and uneven battle, but we won.
Crypto won!
The next stage of our compliance process is the confirmation of our collective suitability by the FSC and the official submission of the license application.
This is an extremely significant change for Bulgaria and for everyone involved in the crypto business.
This article will be updated as the process progresses and as we move through each stage.
In parallel with the license
Alongside the licensing process, we have remained fully active.
Over the past year, we participated in numerous events, lectures, interviews and podcasts dedicated to the crypto industry, regulation and the future of digital assets.
For us, it is extremely important not only to develop our platform, but also to actively participate in market education, public dialogue and the building of trust in the crypto sector in Bulgaria.
We believe that transparency, dialogue and personal presence are key, especially at a time when the industry is entering a new and more mature stage of development.
Here are some of our recent appearances:
- Rostislav Totev: What Awaits Crypto in 2025?
- Founder of Altcoins.bg Rostislav Totev in a NOVA report on crypto scams

Why does this matter?
As your trusted crypto partner since 2017, we have always been transparent in our processes and services and fully aligned with the law.
We know this may have frustrated some of you at times, but there is no alternative.
You entrust us with the most important thing, your trust, and we are obligated to earn it.
As the saying goes, we are here for the long game. Over the years, we have seen many so-called successful schemes that lasted a few months and then disappeared with people’s money. Altcoins.bg was in the crypto market before them and will remain after them.
Crypto is entering a new phase of its development, and we have no doubt that we have taken on the serious responsibility of delivering this transition in Bulgaria.
Veni, vidi, vici!
