That’s all in the past now, and today we’re thrilled to announce this long-dreamed-of service—Altcoins PAY.

With Altcoins PAY, every online and physical store will have the opportunity to quickly and easily start accepting cryptocurrency payments through Altcoins.bg and BTCPay.bg. We’re starting with Bitcoin on the main network, and we already have the Lightning Network active, enabling faster and cheaper transactions. In the near future, we plan to add more currencies to our service, along with new options for an enhanced user experience. We also aim to provide seamless integration of the service into Altcoins.bg to simplify and expand user access to various cryptocurrencies.

Why Accept Bitcoin Payments?

Years ago, when almost no one used Bitcoin for payments, this was a perfectly valid question. Now, however, cryptocurrency is so widespread—even in Bulgaria—that making such a move, even purely for marketing purposes, gives businesses access to a new audience. It also enables direct payment acceptance—without intermediaries! There’s no need for special contracts, registrations, or approvals to start accepting Bitcoin as payment for your business. Equally important is the fact that you gain freedom over your funds: no one else can access, block, or restrict them.

How Does It Work?

The process of installing and integrating Bitcoin payment acceptance is quite straightforward. A specialist from our team remotely sets up your store’s profile. When a customer wants to pay this way, you enter the price in BGN, the system automatically converts it to the equivalent in BTC, and generates an invoice with a QR code for payment.

The customer scans the code, sends the satoshis, and that’s it! The invoice is marked as paid, and the payment is recorded!

Is It Secure?
